What is our philosophy about financial giving?
We do not practice pressure techniques. Rather, we choose to occasionally preach and teach what God’s Word says about Christian stewardship and giving. How you respond to that teaching is a heart issue between you and the Lord. The only time you will be contacted about your giving is either when you request it or when you receive your annual giving statement summary. Offering envelopes are available for your offering so the financial secretary can record the amount for year-end reporting. The pastor does not look at financial giving records.
We also practice “faith-promise” missions giving. This giving is an amount given over and above the tithe and is a weekly amount promised by you and anonymously written on a card and turned in at our annual missionary conference. This allows us to budget missionary support for the coming fiscal missions year and hopefully will allow us to support more missionaries. The amount promised by faith is between you and God only. We have no way of knowing who you are or how much is promised individually.
