The most important area of our church ministry is the nursery. Our nursery was recently built and is cleaned and sanitized weekly. Children or workers who are ill and/or exhibit illness symptoms are not allowed to use the nursery.  A secure, private room outside the auditorium is available for nursing mothers.

In addition, we have a special classroom for “pre-school church” during our Morning Worship hour. This helps prepare toddlers to learn how to sit still and listen to Bible stories and participate in creative biblical crafts and activities.

All those who volunteer to work in the nursery and pre-school church are screened not only by the pastor and/or his wife but have submitted to and passed a background check.

The Bible calls us to teach and learn! While Jesus didn’t take attendance as children and adults gathered around him or call such gatherings “Sunday school”, his words and actions clearly teach that learning and faithfulness are intertwined.

The purpose of Sunday School is to change lives for Jesus Christ by evan-gelizing the lost and teaching those who respond to the Gospel through our classes. This is the Great Commission.

We offer a fully graded Sunday School for children and adults. We have classes for every age.

All those who are chosen to teach in the Sunday school are qualified and screened not only by the pastor but have submitted to and passed a background check. The safety and security of children who attend our church and classes are our top priority.

The Bible says in Matthew 19:14, “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Desiring to give everyone, including children and adults, an opportunity to attend church and learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ and His love, we have a ministry which makes this possible.

We consider it a real honor for parents to allow us to bring your children to our services. If you would like more information about our bus ministry or you would like for us to bring your child to our services on one of our vans you may call our office at 479.407.2179. You may also call our pastor at 918.618.2277 and he will notify the appropriate bus worker to provide transportation for you. Transpor-tation if available for all services, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening.

All those who are chosen to drive our vans are qualified and screened not only by the pastor but have submitted to and passed a background check. The safety and security of children who attend our church is our top priority. Our vans are driven by a qualified driver with the wife of the driver riding as a helper, or a driver and a worker are always present on the van.

In a world of lies – what’s really true? From the Bible, you can get answers for every question and problem in life, and you can find out that God really is on your side! He wants to help you every day and wants you to know Him person-ally. The teen years can be confusing, difficult, and challenging! But they can also be awesome! Through Sunday classes, weekly outreach, monthly activities, and programs. The teens at Blessed Hope Baptist Church are challenged and equipped to live for Christ while they are in their youth. Each year, the teens can look forward to outreach events, fun activities, summer camps, and many opportunities to grow in God’s Word. We do everything within our power to provide Bible-based wisdom teens need, combined with safe, friendly atmosphere teens enjoy!

Not only that, we also have a pre-teen and younger ministry, which meets every Wednesday evening for Bible studies and educational, fun activities.

Psalm 111:1 “Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.” Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

The purpose of the music ministry is to exhort, uplift, and encourage Christians through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. At Blessed Hope Baptist Church members are encouraged to use their musical talents to bring praises to the Lord. Opportunities exist for special music during worship services, partici-pation in adult and children’s choirs, and special occasions especially during the Christmas season. Congregational singing from hymnals during every service is our common practice and modern CCM and worldly music is never utilized. Our music strives to uphold and praise the majesty of God.

Ministering to those who are unable to get out to come to church is an impor-tant part of reaching our community for Christ. Every month, we conduct services at the Alma nursing home, and minister to the residents in the form of preaching and singing. (During the Covid scare, our nursing home services were paused due to lockdowns. We plan to again hold services as soon as appro-priate).

Silver Saints is a ministry to and for those age 50 and up. About every month we meet for a luncheon and fellowship. Planned activities may include special speakers, games, “show and tell,” as well as day trips to local sites around western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma. Members are encouraged to bring visitors to share in the food, fun and fellowship.

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Proverbs 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

The goal of the soul winning ministry is to fulfill the great commission by reaching lost people in our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to be saved then encouraging them to faithfully attend our services and be baptized to become part of our assembly. By faithful attendance of services, they will be taught and discipled through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Also, by training others to be soul winners, we multiply our efforts of reaching lost souls.
